Sprucing Up the Front Porch and Patio for Spring
Every year, I notice that my porch and patio start looking a little run down, and needing some some attention. This year, a few small changes made a big difference in the way my space looks on the outside.
Ferns on the Front Porch
I have a wide front porch that runs the length of my home, and it always needs a little love come at this time of year. Hanging ferns make a big impact, so I hang six in total on our porch. I like to sit the ferns in metal hanging baskets. They just pull everything together.
They definitely enhance the overall atmosphere on our front porch.
The Backyard Patio
Now, our backyard sometimes feels like a never-ending work-in-progress, but isn’t every backyard like that? We like to hang out back here on weeknights and on the weekends.
We’ve had our Hampton Bay patio set for two years now, and I noticed that our chair cushions had seen better days. No problem, replacement chair cushions are an easy refresh.
I’ve always loved striped cushions, so I chose these Box Edge Outdoor Chair Cushions from Home Decorators Collection, in Maxim Classic Sunbrella. Sunbrella fabric is the real deal. It’s specially designed to resist weathering in the sun and other harsh weather conditions. Always opt for it when you have your choice of outdoor fabric situations.
We have eight dining chairs, and I like to sit two of them off in this little spot as a separate outdoor seating area.
We are making progress over here! I’m looking forward to many fun days spent out here with friends and family.
