Rustic Pinecone Garland
Hang this fun DIY project on your tree or your mantel for a rustic and festive look.
Lighted “Joy” Sign
Use rope light clips to spell and secure the word “Joy” in place. The rope light can be stiff, so it will help if you have another person to help hold the rope light in place as you secure the clips. You can also use painter’s tape to hold the rope light in place as you secure it to the board.
Then drill another hole to feed the remaining light rope through the back. Plug in, and light up!
It’s a quick DIY project to add a festive glow to any room this Christmas.
Penguin Light Bulb Christmas Ornaments
You can reuse old incandescent bulbs for this project if you have them on hand.
Hex Nut Snowflake Christmas Ornaments
Loop a piece of twine at the top to hang this festive ornament on the Christmas tree!
Hanging Christmas Ornament Bundle
This simple DIY project transforms traditional ornaments into an elegant holiday chandelier.
You can hang this ornament cluster on your front door, beside the mantle, in the kitchen, or anywhere else your house needs a holiday pick-me-up! Instead of twine, you can also use clear hanging line or pretty ribbon.
Christmas Tree Doormat
Use painter’s tape to create triangles of various sizes on a coir door mat. (Take a look at the photo at the beginning of this article to see how we did it.) Then, use a stencil brush and green paint to color in the triangles. Allow to dry.
Remove the painter’s tape, and use a rectangle of dark brown paint to create the tree trunks. All it takes is a very small rectangle.
Wood Shim Table Place Cards
Add some garland, mini Christmas ornaments to give them a holiday look.
Glowing Globe Lights
They’ll create a warm, festive glowing to your fireplace mantel or a table decorated for the holidays.
Paint Can Snowman Centerpiece
Once it’s dry, use paint pens to draw the snowman faces.
Then tie velvet ribbon around the cans to add a festive touch.
This simple DIY project is great for candy storage or as a fun container for a miniature Christmas tree.
Christmas Countdown Sign
Cut ½-in. project panel into a 1 x 1 ft. square.
Paint the panel with chalkboard paint, then screw in the hooks.
Use chalk markers to create your design.
Then hang the house numbers on the sign.
Flip down each day with white cup hooks and house numbers – how easy is that! All you have to do is wait for the numbers to signal Santa’s arrival!
