Painting tips: freeze paint brushes when painting overnight

Paintbrushes absorb a lot of paint when they’re constantly being dipped into the paint bucket, and when you wash your brush out at the end of a project, you’re really wasting a decent amount of paint. This isn’t a big deal, unless you are painting with the same paint several days in a row.

Rather than washing at the end of a long painting day, wrap your paint brush in plastic wrap and freeze it. Take your brush out of the freezer 10-15 minutes before you’re ready to paint, and your brush will be ready to go. This saves cleanup time, saves paint from going down the drain, and helps you jump into your project faster!

You can also apply the same technique to paint rollers and trays. Wrap the roller in plastic wrap, freeze overnight, and let thaw for a few minutes, and you’re ready to roll (pun intended).
