Christmas Gift Wrapping Ideas Sparkle
Christmas gift wrapping ideas are one of those things that some people absolutely love and some people couldn’t care less about. I personally look forward to wrapping, and love to create a cohesive “look” for all the presents under the tree. I love coming up with Christmas gift wrapping ideas by using one particular type of wrapping and ribbon. It’s also possible to create a unified feel by repeating colors on each gift.
In the Christmas gift wrap collection I created above, I used only a few materials for each gift — builder’s paper, silver contact paper, jute twine and mason twine — but I accented many of these gifts with some extras.
A paint can is an unusual way to wrap gifts, but it’s the perfect container for food gifts or even gift cards! Just add a colorful bow in your favorite color palette.
On the gift above, I used silver contact paper to create a sticker with a festive message, but you could use this same technique to label your gift, too. Simply cut out the letters from your contact paper, peel and stick.
Having a hard time finding just the right shade to complement your color palette? Hit the paint desk at The Home Depot and find a few paint chips in your favorite hue. Here, I used a single orange paint chip to create a cute button gift tag. Simply cut out a circle, punch holes in the center, and loop your ribbon through the button!
We already gave you step-by-step instructions for creating a tassel from mason twine. This is a fun and unexpected way to bring a bit of color into your holiday gift wrapping!
I also used some brightly colored twine and silver washers to create a sparkly garland, a wonderful alternative to traditional ribbon.
