I’m looking forward to celebrating my first Christmas in my new home this year. My inspiration behind decorating my living areas was tapping into the classic Christmas. I wanted to incorporate traditional elements with an upscale modern flair.
I love entertaining guests all year-round but my favorite time of year is during the holiday season. Making your home cozy and comfortable for guests is always important when entertaining at home.
I wanted the Christmas tree to be the focus for everyone visiting my home from all angles. It’s the first thing people noticed when they walked in the door, sat down in my living, ate at the dining room table, or grabbed something from the kitchen.
Many people are stepping away from using the traditional greens and crimson reds when decorating for Christmas, but I really wanted to play up those colors when decorating my home. I used red and gold to make the living area really pop, while adding touches of greens throughout the space.
There are also several easy and affordable ways to decorate your home for Christmas without breaking the bank.
You can fill glass jars or vases with red, green, and gold candies and place them on your table so guests can grab a treat while they enter your home. I also recommend buying flowers to place around your house.
I really love how my home turned out, and I can’t wait to celebrate Christmas with friends and family. Happy holidays!
